Art and technique for your health

Dental prosthetics are rigid parts made in the dental laboratory from various materials with the help of which the integrity and functionality of the dental arches is restored. They are designed following an individualized treatment plan according to each patient’s problems.

Dental prosthetics, as a service offered in our clinic, is focused on restoring all structures in the most aesthetic and durable way possible, so that each patient can benefit from the beautiful smile they desire.

Prosthetics can involve the following functions in the oro-dento-facial reconstruction operation: phonation or sounds during speech, mastication as well as maxillo-facial protection from the effects of bruxism (teeth grinding). Dental prosthetics therefore fulfills a complementary and interdisciplinary role in dentistry.

Today’s dental restorations are carried out with the help of state-of-the-art technologies and with the training of a team of specialists: prosthetist, surgeon, periodontist, endodontist, or orthodontist. The technologies of our clinic contribute to fast and 100% accurate diagnosis, allowing patients to visualize the final result before the actual intervention.

The category of prosthetic works includes:

  • Dental veneers (ceramics, Zirconium) that use zirconium oxide to restore the whiteness of natural teeth. These ceramic prosthetic works are applied to the front teeth.
  • Dental crowns are also indicated for dental reconstructions. Unlike veneers, these cover the tooth in a ceramic or zirconium piece of increased hardness.
  • Dental inlays, an alternative to the usual filling that restores the tooth, a resistant prosthetic piece made of ceramic, completely physiognomic. Through this technique, the contact points between the affected tooth and the neighboring teeth are restored without affecting the interdental papilla.
  • The corono-radicular device is a prosthetic piece that restores the abutment. We recommend it to patients who have damaged dental crowns.
  • Fixed or removable dentures are those devices that mask missing teeth. Once implanted, the functionality of the teeth is ensured.

Crown Medical Center was founded in the first place to create absolutely beautiful smiles.

When are prosthetic works
indicated?

  • Replacement of one or more missing teeth.
Unfortunately, the percentage of patients with at least one missing tooth is much too high for the current state of dentistry in Romania. That’s why we encourage you to contact our specialist doctors who can replace these defects with ceramic or zirconium dental crowns made on dental implants. Broken or chipped tooth(s).
Either due to trauma or due to advanced carious cavities, depending on the severity of the case, dental crowns or dental veneers are recommended.
  • Yellowed or discolored dentition.
When the permanent dentition accumulates discoloration spots over time due to smoking, wine and coffee consumption or poor oral hygiene, a prosthetic work (usually dental veneers) is recommended by which the aesthetic defects can be masked.
  • Teeth that are too small or too large.
Noticeable differences in size between teeth can affect maxillofacial harmony and result in an unaesthetic effect. The dental veneer is ideal for correcting such an imbalance.
  • Crowded teeth or with large interdental spaces.
Depending on the severity of the case, treatment with dental appliances and/or dental veneers is used.
  • Gingival remodeling.
Gingival remodeling means the removal of excess gingival tissue through a minimally invasive surgical procedure. In certain cases of gingival remodeling, a specialist doctor may recommend completing the treatment with a prosthetic work.

Fixed prosthetics on the teeth

Metal-ceramic crowns and bridges using classic or CAD-CAM technology. They are prosthetic works made by layering ceramics on a metal structure of Co-Cr or Gold, through classic technology, documented and perfected in over 30 years of experience. They are the most frequently executed works worldwide.

Zirconium crowns and bridges: Zirconium is a recently appeared material that has revolutionized dental medicine, having multiple indications due to its exceptional qualities. It is very aesthetic, resistant, well tolerated by the body, without allergic effects and without bimetallism phenomena, therefore totally bioinert. Because the infrastructure is white, zirconia layered ceramic restorations are very aesthetic, durable and extremely precise, being executed by computerized CAD-CAM technology, both for a single facet and for crowns and bridges, in the anterior and posterior areas.

Dental veneers and crowns made of layered ceramic on E-max support. E-max has brought a major advance in restorative and cosmetic dentistry, because it also has the advantage of very good adhesion to dental structures, in addition to aesthetics and excellent biocompatibility. The infrastructure is extremely precise, being executed by computerized CAD-CAM technology, and the adhesive cementation of the dental structures with the latest generation resin cements reduces the risk of veneer detachment. This is the ideal solution for obtaining a perfect aesthetic of prosthetic works, for cases with a specific indication the 10-year success rate is over 90%.

Prosthetics on dental implants

In the case of a missing tooth, it is no longer necessary to grind the neighboring intact teeth and use a 3-element dental bridge for prosthetics. The implant will act as a tooth root and will be able to support a dental crown by itself.

For the restoration of extended or even total edentences, several dental implants can be inserted to support a cemented or screw-retained fixed work, with standard or individualized metal or zirconium abutments, depending on the type of work and the dental implant.

We have faced in 30 years of clinical experience with a difficult and varied case history, that is why we have the training and the means to offer you very good quality, aesthetic and durable treatments.

If you fall into one of the cases listed above, you can schedule a first consultation at the Crown Medical Center clinic.
